Labradoodles. Think up the most ridiculous mixed dog breeds, and what they should be called. GO.

Hahaha, I seriously don't know what to type in this journal anymore, sorry. Not much to update on the art front unfortunately. Work and home are eating away at my time per usual. I just hope everything's going well with youz guyz!

Since I'm seeing this around and am in a very anxious mood I thought I'd start updating my stale journals here.

Ask me a question, any question.

SRSLY, I mean it.

COMMISH TIME

Fri May 4, 2007, 5:50 PM
I seem to be posting about commissions the same time as like, five other people on my friends' list here (so SORRY ABOUT THAT GUYS lol).

Anyway, I'm currently in the process of applying to a number of places for work, but until anything happens I'd like to take five commissions, or whatever comes along (and yes, I'm almost done with the work I've promised a few of you, so I should be uploading it in a couple of days!). I'll throw out the slots here (haha, thanks for the idea):

Please note me here on DA with what you need. Here are my current prices, and though they seem fairly specific I'm willing to expand to other things should you want them! We can discuss pricing accordingly:

Page of character sketches (expressions, rotations, poses and so on): $10.00

Colored Characters: $14.00

Black and White Character + Background: $17.00

Rendered pencil piece, characters + background: $20.00

Fully colored character and background piece: $28.00

And like I've stated before, with the exception of the black and white pencil it will be done digitally unless stated otherwise (you can request pen and ink, or other traditional media- but if we get into paints it may cost a tiny bit more).

Also- thanks Sheana and Billysheep for the advice. Much appreciated!

Get Peter S. Beagle's Autograph!

Thu Jan 18, 2007, 10:51 AM
Well, I haven't been around here lately, but I thought this warranted a journal entry. This is from fpsmagazine's livejournal feed:

Back in October of 2005, I posted about The Last Unicorn creator Peter S. Beagle's ongoing battle with Saul Zaentz to be compensated for the animated adaptation of his book, as well for receiving more than the token "consulting fee" he'd been paid for writing Ralph Bakshi's animated adaptation of Lord of the Rings.

Beagle's tribulations are still ongoing, but in the meantime the 25th anniversary edition of The Last Unicorn is coming to DVD in just a few weeks. The remastered Unicorn is in 5.1 with an anamorphic widescreen image, for a mere $14.98. However, because of these legal issues, Beagle will not be receiving royalties from any DVDs bought through Amazon or other retailers. However, buying the DVD from Conlan Press will ensure that more than half the money received ends up in Beagle's hands—some of which he intends to use to pursue his legal battles. (As an extra incentive, Conlan is also offering DVDs personally autographed by Beagle for $24.98.) As you know from our auctions, we're pretty keen on the idea of doing good with our animation purchases, so pass this bit of info on to all the Unicorn fans you know. There's still time to cancel that Amazon preorder.

Here's where you can order a personalized autographed copy of the "The Last Unicorn":

You actually get three autographs. I bet his hand will get tired D:

ELJAY

A quick note-

I haven't been around here much lately because, well, I've been busy with school work and got addicted to LiveJournal :( Yes, incredibly sad. I do happen to type an awful lot, and LJ happens to feed that craving.

Not to mention I post sketches there I don't find suitable of putting in this gallery (also because the scrap gallery here is ... silly), so I've started throwing them up there.

THAT SAID, I will be back here when the time allows. I have many galleries to go through and catch up on. For the time being I just wanted to make you aware of where I hang out and rant:

[link] (My public art journal/where I'll be asking for commissions outside of DA mostly.)

[link] (This is friend's locked for the simple reason I type FAR TOO MUCH. I'll be posting all my sketches and misc work there too, but in addition to my raving and overall stupidity.)

Anyway, feel free to stop by/friend/what have you. I like reading journals and chit-chatting :p

ALSO: I believe =poinko was onto a good idea with "Escowpade"! My friends however prefered "Cowscepade". Decisions! I like both, but it's not pertinent that I chose right away, ha.
