Still not finished, but posting it anyway. I'll add to this comment when I get home from work tomorrow woohoo.
EDIT: Okay, back from work the day AFTER supposidly. The design is a bit of a play on quiltwork I saw at a local Mennonite stand- the trees ended in the silhouette of the mountains. Thought it was interesting and decided to play with it!
A few textures here and there, though not terribly noticable. Made from pictures I took around the yard... though that wood "grain" is all done by hand. Unfortunately. Ugh.
The anatomy sucks, the original scan sucked- had to stitch it together because my scanner isn't big enough. Not pleased with those glaringly obvious mistakes, and the crop on their feet... generally I'm not pleased with this, but I rarely am haha. I'll try to "finish" it later, but there's no gaurentee.
I absolutely have to know the story behind this, I am utterly intrigued by the images! I just love that cool design-y centrepiece and how it merges into the other two characters (both of whom look pretty interesting too). And the PERSPECTIVE PLAY with the mountains in the distance, and your delicious colours - eee. This is great!

*jawdrop* CW this is stunning seriously...I love the almost Escher-esque effect of the far background versus the foreground. It's astonishing the soft colors, the design and everything

And it's all for me grog
Me jolly, jolly grog
It's all for me beer and tobacco
Oh I spent all me tin on the ladies drinkin' gin
Be sailin' in the mornin' when the wind blows
Oh dude, still not finished? I've seen plenty of snips of this image and I still see it as godlike every time in all the stages I've seen bits of it in.
I really need to come on DA more often. Dude I love you so hard.
